It's our mission to treat every person like family. We've had the privilege to work with thousands of customers over the years and currently working with second and third generations. JB Hackman
Managing Partner

I have been in the car business since the age 15. Mr Poynter has created an awesome place to work, which in turn is an awesome place to conduct business. After graduating from IU, I got lucky enough to land a sales position with Bob Poynter. Since then I have been fortunate enough to become GM/Partner. I'm married to my best friend/beautiful wife. We have three wonderful children. I enjoy work, hiking, travel and just hanging out with the family. I invite anyone to call, email, or simply stop in and see me anytime. We always strive to ensure customer satisfaction and always go the extra step to make your experience a great one. Thanks to all of our existing customers and I invite any new folks to give us a try. As always we appreciate your business.

Randy Wetzel
Sales Manager

After graduating from Seymour High School in 1992, I spent a brief two year period having no idea what I wanted to do with my life until I came across a newspaper ad for an automotive salesperson position in Columbus, Indiana.  Since that time I've filled many roles in the industry including sales, new inventory manager, finance manager, sales manager and now general manager.  I've been lucky enough to have worked for the Bob Poynter organization since 2003, and I look forward to many more years of service to the community and our loyal customers here in Jackson County and beyond. I was fortunate enough to talk my high school sweetheart into marrying me in 1996. Misty and I have since been blessed with two awesome boys, Coltin and Harrison.  I enjoy spending time away from work with my family, friends, and Weber grills.  As a lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Indiana Hoosiers, Indianapolis Colts, and Indiana Pacers I have a pretty busy schedule of watching sports, but fell free to interrupt me anytime… seriously!

Living most of my life in Jackson County, I graduated from Seymour Senior High School in 1971. That same year I received my private pilot license and enlisted in the US Coast Guard. I served as an air crewman on Coast Guard helicopters, taking part in search and rescue missions. After an honorable discharge I started my career with the Seymour Police Department, retiring in 2007 after 33 years of service.  Since August of 2007, I have been part of the sales team at Bob Poynter Ford, where I thoroughly enjoy selling new Fords and used vehicles. My wife Becky and I have been married since 1973 and are members of Immanuel Lutheran Church where I have served as an elder as well as many other positions. I've had the rewarding experience of coaching girls' softball for eight years. I like spending time with my wife, three children, and grandchildren, playing golf and traveling. If you are searching for a vehicle please come see me at Bob Poynter Ford.

After graduating Seymour High School in 2008, my love for everything automotive led me to the University of Technical Institute in North Carolina where I studied automotive engineering for 4 years, graduating in 2012.  After returning to my hometown of Seymour I was lucky enough to earn on a spot in the Bob Poynter Ford service department as a lead technician.  Within months of starting my new career I was diagnosed with Thymoma Cancer, a rare form of the disease, located in the upper chest that attacks the immune system.  Nearly 2 years later and once cleared of medical treatment, Mr. Poynter was gracious enough to bring me back to the team, this time in a sales role requiring much less physical stress than turning wrenches.  Needless to say I've loved every minute of the journey since, earning the trust and respect of our customers, helping find the right vehicle for potential clients, and maintaining life-long relationships with those that allow me to serve them has been more rewarding than I ever could have imagined.  Riding my Harley Davidson, and working on my 88' Mustang 5.0 help fill the time when I'm not selling cars and trucks.  Like a lot of guys from Jackson County I also enjoy the pleasures of country living like hunting and fishing.  Please don't hesitate to contact me anytime for your automotive needs or technical advice.
